Explanation:

Once the nicotine is in the brain it stimulates receptors called cholinergic receptors. These receptors are adequate in other areas of the body such as the muscles, heart, adrenal glands, and other important organs. Nevertheless, these receptors are usually activated when they bind to a neurotransmitter called acetylcholine, which is produced in nerve endings of the brain and in the nerves of the PNS. Unlike acetylcholine, nicotine enters the brain and prevents its regular functioning.
