History

Kennedy's presidency inspired American people with charm and optimism; addressing the social challenges of his term when he included "tyranny, poverty and war" among "the common enemies of man" into his inaugural speech, as a glimpse of his domestic policies on society, which by the way included ambitious programs on education, spotting education as key to civil rights and equality; especially to the disenfranchised, reason why he appointed African Americans positions in government, supported integration in universities, proposed national civil rights laws, and the creation of "Peace Corps" inspiring Americans to help mankind.
