The Judicial branch of government is made of the Supreme Court among all other courts. Its function is to interpret the laws made by the Legislature (Congress) without bias and ensure everyone who comes to court seeking justice, gets it.

The Supreme Court is an appellate court with appellate jurisdiction that is, it has the power to  review, and reverse the decisions made by the lower courts. It is important to note that the judgement of the Supreme Court is binding on the lower courts. The Supreme Court decides a case by casting votes. For instance, to grant an order for stay of execution, about 5 justices out of 9 must vote.
