Answer:

16 = small

74 = big

Step-by-step explanation:

4x+10 = big angle

x = small angle

4x+10+x = 90

5x+10 = 90

5x = 80

x = 16

4 x 16 + 10 = 74

Answer:

y=16^{\circ},x=74^{\circ}

Step-by-step explanation:

Let complementary angles are x and y.

Let x is larger angle between x and y.

We have to find the measure of both angles x and y.

According to question

x=4y+10

We know that complementary angles :Two angles whose sum is 90 degrees.

x+y=90^{\circ}

4y+10+y=90

5y=90-10=80

y=\frac{80}{5}=16^{\circ}

Substitute the value then we get

x=4(16)+10=74^{\circ}

Please help!!! What is the slope of a line that is perpendicular to this line?
Whitepunk [10]

\frak{Hi!}

\orange\hspace{300pt}\above3

                      <u>If two lines are perpendicular to each other, their slopes</u>

                     <u>are negative inverses of each other.</u>

                     Thus,

                    \boldsymbol{\sf{Slope\:of\:this\:line=4}}}

                    \boldsymbol{\sf{Negative \ Inverse=-\displaystyle\frac{1}{4}}}. See how this works?

                    We took 4, then took its opposite, and flopped that over

\orange\hspace{300pt}\above3

Definition-:

Perpendicular lines are lines that intercept each other at a 90 deg. angle, which is usually called the right angle.

Joanne's Dress Shop received an invoice dated July 25 for $1,400, with terms of 2/10, 1/15, n/60. On August 8, Joanne's Dress Sh
ss7ja [257]

The actual amount that should be credited is $757.58.

<u>Solution:</u>

Given that,

2% Discount if paid in 10 days.

1% Discount if paid in 15 days, (but greater that 10 days)

Net due in 60 days.

That is,

\bold{1400\times0.98 = 1372} will close the acount on days 1-10

\bold{1400\times0.99 = 1386} will close the acount on days 11-15

And August 8 is Day 15 and falls under the 1% discount rule.

Therefore, we have to divide the partial payment by the complement of the discount rate.

\bold{\Rightarrow\frac{750}{0.99} = 757.58} from the balance, and \bold{1400.00 - 757.58 = 642.42} is due by day 60.
