It consists of anther and filament. The anther consists of pollen grains which are the male gamete. The anther is held up by the filament which is a thread-like structure.

The female reproductive part of a flower is termed as pistil. It consists of stigma, style, ovary, and ovule.

The stigma receives the pollen and is held up in place by a tube-like structure termed as style. The pollen with the help of pollen tube reaches ovary via style. The ovary contains ovule (female gamete).
