Answer:

2130

Step-by-step explanation:

AP

S₁₀= 225

S₂₀= 1010

S₁₁₋₃₀=?

-----------

S₁₁₋₃₀= S₃₀ - S₁₀

  • (1) S₁₀= 10/2(2a₁+9d) = 225 ⇒ 10a₁+45d=225
  • (2) S₂₀= 20/2(2a₁+19d) = 1010 ⇒ 20a₁+190d=1010
  • S₃₀= 30/2(2a₁+29d)= 30a₁+ 435d
  • S₃₀ - S₁₀= 30a₁ + 435d -  10a₁ -45d= 20a₁ + 390d= 1010 + 200d

Comparing (1) and (2):

  • (2)- 2*(1) ⇒ 190d- 90d= 1010-450 ⇒ 100d= 560 ⇒ 200d= 1120

S₁₁₋₃₀= 1010+1120= 2130

What is the value of x in the diagram below?
Furkat [3]
Hi,
The answer will be \frac{ 18\sqrt{2} }{ \sqrt{3} } .

Now how is that, there is a rule for the right angled triangle which says:

cosθ = \frac{adjacent side}{hypotenuse} so, if we applied this rule on the lower triangle we can say: cos30°= \frac{9}{hypotenuse} and therefore the hypotenuse = \frac{9}{cos30} = \frac{18}{ \sqrt{3} } .

now in the upper triangle we will apply the same rule so,
cos45°=\frac{adjacent side}{hypotenuse}
and the adjacent side in the upper triangle is \frac{18}{ \sqrt{3} } and the hypotenuse is x.
so cos45°=\frac{( \frac{18}{ \sqrt{3} } )}{x} and then we can say
x=\frac{ \frac{18}{ \sqrt{3} } }{cos45} = \frac{ 18\sqrt{2} }{ \sqrt{3} } .
