Answer:

France - French Guiana

Great Britain - British Guiana

The Netherlands - Dutch Guiana

Spain - Colombia and Ecuador

Explanation:

The Guianas are a region in the north-east of South America. It includes the following:

French Guiana, is an overseas department and region of France, initially colonized by the French in the XVIII century.

British Guiana, was a British colony from 1831 to 1966. The region is currently known as the independent nation of Guyana.

Dutch Guiana, Dutch colonization of the Guianas began in the early XVI century, and they claimed all of Guiana, but after losing some sections of the region to Portugal, Britain and France, the section controlled by the Netherlands became known as Dutch Guiana. The region is currently known as the Republic of Suriname, and became an independent state on the 25th of November, 1975.

Colombia and Ecuador were conquered by the Spanish starting in 1499. The Spanish empire founded and called the region Nuevo Reino de Granada (New Kingdom of Granada) in 1538. This kingdom extended on what today is Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and Panama

Western Europe is more developed than Eastern Europe because ____.
Alla [95]

Western Europe is more developed than Eastern Europe because the market economy of Western Europe provides an economic advantage

Explanation:

Stark differences persist between the western and eastern part of Europe. While western Europe was under the influence of Capitalism mode of production (led by the US and Great Britain), the eastern part was led by the erstwhile USSR following socialist mode of production.

Under the market economy, open competition and adaptive hand-holding by the US, western European countries prospered by leaps and bound. Marshall plan prepared by the US helped in post-war reconstruction of western Europe. On the other hand, eastern countries fell prey to the despotic rule of dictators, political instability and socialisation of assets. There were no such private assets and the important assets were nationalised. In the long run, the socialistic model of the market could not stand up to capitalism and fell in 1991 when the USSR disintegrated.
