Assume that adults have IQ scores that are normally distributed with a mean 105 of and a standard deviation 20 . Find the probab
ArbitrLikvidat [17]

Answer:

0.6048

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the following :

Assume a normal distribution :

Mean (m) = 105

Standard deviation (sd) = 20

Find the probability that a randomly selected adult has an IQ between 88 and 122 .

Z = (x - m) / sd

For IQ score of 88:

Z = (88 - 105) / 20

Z = (-17) / 20

Z = - 0.85

For IQ score of 122:

Z = (122 - 105) / 20

Z = (17) / 20

Z = 0.85

P(-0.85<Z<0.85) = P(Z < 0.85) - P(Z < - 0.85)

P(-0.85<Z<0.85) = (0.8023 - 0.1977)

P(-0.85<Z<0.85) = 0.6048

A fence around the school football field is
bagirrra123 [75]

Each team will paint 238 ft of the fence.

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of fence = 1666 ft

Number of students teams = 7

Let x be the length covered by each team, therefore,

7x=1666

Dividing both sides by 7;

\frac{7x}{7}=\frac{1666}{7}\\x=238\ ft

Each team will paint 238 ft of the fence.

Im confused by what the question is asking me to do
Sliva [168]
First, you should make a graph plotting "h" as the y-axis and "t" as the x-axis. Then, you can plot the equation they give you in the question.

Part A is asking about the slope of the graph. Basically, you need to find the rise over the run each second.

Part B is asking about the "h"-intercept, or the y-intercept. When Johnny first began his ride, exactly 0 seconds passed, and he was at the top of the hill.

Part C is asking you to find how long it will take to travel a third of the way down the hill. (I think the answer should be 5 seconds, but I'll leave it to you to figure out why.)

A lock on a fence door has a 4 digit combination. Each digit can be any number
Bas_tet [7]

Answer:

D. 9990 possible combinations

Step-by-step explanation:

The first digit has 10 choices (can be all of them), the second digit also has 10 choices. The third and fourth digits also have 10 choices.

Multiply them together you get 10*10*10*10 = 10000 possible combinations.

But since all 4 characters cannot be the same, we subtract 10 from 10000 (there are 10 combinations which the 4 characters are the same: 1111, 2222, 3333, 4444, 5555, 6666, 7777, 8888, 9999, and 0000) and we get 9990.
