Answer:

Ivan answered both questions worth 4 points and 5 questions worth 2 points correctly

Step-by-step explanation:

If there are 6 questions worth 2 points then that equals 12 points

Then 2 questions worth 4 points each equals 8 points.

12+8= 20 so thats 20 total points. If he only got 18 then you subtract 2 and thats the worth of one point.

So, the 2 questions worth 4 points is 8 total points plus 5 questions worth 2 each is 10 total points = 18 points.

Find the solutions to the equation below check all that apply
Vadim26 [7]

A. x=3/2

D. x=1/2

Solve for x over the real numbers:

4 x^2 - 8 x + 3 = 0

The left hand side factors into a product with two terms:

(2 x - 3) (2 x - 1) = 0

Split into two equations:

2 x - 3 = 0 or 2 x - 1 = 0

Add 3 to both sides:

2 x = 3 or 2 x - 1 = 0

Divide both sides by 2:

x = 3/2 or 2 x - 1 = 0

Add 1 to both sides:

x = 3/2 or 2 x = 1

Divide both sides by 2:

Answer:  x = 3/2 or x = 1/2

Two students from a group of eight boys and 12 girls are sent to represent the school in a parade if the students are chosen at
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]

If you choose one person from the group, you have a 12/20 chance of them being a girl. Now, if the first person is a girl, we have one less girl and one less person to choose from. So, the new probability for the second person is 11/19.

Then, we multiply the chances

12/20 * 11/19

3/5 * 11/19

33/95

What is the equation of the line that passes through the point (2, 1) and has a<br> slope of 3/2?
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]

<u>Given </u><u>:</u><u>-</u>

  • A line having a slope of 3/2 passes through (2,1) .

<u>To </u><u>Find</u><u> </u><u>:</u><u>-</u>

  • The equation of the line .

<u>Answer </u><u>:</u><u>-</u>

According to the question ,

  • m = 3/2
  • Point = (2,1)

We know <u>Point</u><u> slope</u><u> form</u><u> </u> of the line as ,

  • y - y¡ = m ( x - x ¡ )

Substitute ,

  • y - 1 = 3/2 ( x - 2 )
  • y - 1 = 3/2x - 3/2*2
  • y - 1 = 3/2x - 3
  • 2( y -1) = 3/2x *2 - 3*2
  • 2y - 2 = 3x - 6
  • 3x - 2y -4 = 0

<u>Hence</u><u> the</u><u> </u><u>equation</u><u> of</u><u> the</u><u> line</u><u> is</u><u> </u><u>3</u><u>x</u><u> </u><u>-2y</u><u>-</u><u>4</u><u>=</u><u>0</u><u> </u><u>.</u>
