What does the Y-intercept of this function represent?

Take a look at the graph. We can see that the horizontal axis tells us the number of years since the city was founded.

Y-intercepts happen at x = 0. So, let's think about what x = 0 means on the graph. This would be "0 years since the city was founded" or the same time the city was founded.

In other words, the y-intercept of this function represents the initial population (the population when the city was first founded).

(LCR) 14/3 * 1/7 = 14/21.

Simplify by 7.

14 divided by 7 is 2.

21 divided by 7 is 3.

20 PTS! Help!<br> How do you solve the following:
Sonja [21]

Answer: 3x^2-x+2

Explanation:

The area of a triangle A can be calculated as A=(height)x(base)/2

We know the height is 6x.

We know A=9x^3-3x^2+6x

So the equation becomes (using |AC| as the base length):

9x^3-3x^2+6x = \frac{6x \cdot |AC|}{2}\\\frac{9x^3-3x^2+6x}{3x}=|AC|\\\frac{3x^2-x+2}{1}=|AC|\\|AC|=3x^2-x+2

The base is 3x^2-x+2

What is the value of a when we rewrite 15^x as a^x/6
jarptica [38.1K]

Answer:

a = 11,390,625.

Step-by-step explanation:

a^x/6 =  (a^1/6)^x

(a^1/6)^x = 15^x  so:

a^1/6 = 15

1/6 ln a = ln 15

ln a = 6 ln 15

ln a = 16.2483

a = 11390625.
