Answer:

4.5 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

We can use a ratio to solve

3 miles                 x miles

---------------  = ----------------

80 minutes         120 minutes

Using cross products

3 * 120 = 80x

Divide each side by 80

360/80 = 80x/80

4.5 =x

rebekah's baby brother weighs 7.71 pounds.How much will her baby brother weigh if he gains 1.3 pounds each week for two weeks?
NemiM [27]

Answer:

10.31 pounds

Step-by-step explanation:

First, we multiply 1.3 x 2 because he is gaining 1.3 for the next TWO weeks.

1.3 x 2 = 2.6

Now, add 7.71 + 2.6 because that is the weight he started with.

7.71 + 2.6 = 10.31‬

Her brother will weight 10.31 pounds if he is 7.71 lbs and continues to gain 1.3 pounds each week for two weeks.

Solve If QR = 6x + 1, PR = 14x - 13, and PQ = 5x - 2, find PR
solong [7]

Answer:

P____Q____R

PR= PQ+ QR

(14x-13) = (5x-2)+(6x+1)

14x-13= 11x – 1

14x – 11x = 13–1

3x = 12

x= 12/ 3

x= 4

PR= 14x – 13 = 14 (4) – 13 = 18 – 13= 5

If you want (PQ , QR ) this is the solution

PQ =5x-2=5(4)-2=20-2=18

QR =6x+1=6(4)+1=24+1=25

I hope I helped you^_^

A binomial probability experiment is conducted with the given parameters. Compute the probability of x successes in the n indepe
Naddik [55]

Answer:

P (X ≤ 4)

Step-by-step explanation:

The binomial probability formula can be used to find the probability of a binomial experiment for a specific number of successes. It does not find the probability for a range of successes, as in this case.

The range "x≤4" means x = 0 or x = 1 or x = 2 or x = 3 or x = 4, so there are five different probability calculations to do.

To to find the total probability, we use the addition rule that states that the probabilities of different events can be added to find the probability for the entire set of events only if the events are Mutually Exclusive. The outcomes of a binomial experiment are mutually exclusive for any value of x between zero and n, as long as n and p don't change, so we're allowed to add the five calculated probabilities together to find the total probability.

The probability that x ≤ 4 can be written as P (X ≤ 4) or as P (X = 0 or X = 1 or X = 2 or X = 3 or X = 4) which means (because of the addition rule) that P(x ≤ 4) = P(x = 0) + P(x = 1) + P (x = 2) + P (x = 3) + P (x = 4)

Therefore, the probability of x<4 successes is P (X ≤ 4)

Please help me. I have an idea of what the answer might be but I’m not sure so I need you to help me clarify if I was correct so
Gemiola [76]

Hello!

According to the diagram, your answer is D.) Some Elephants have tusks

If the entire circle labeled "Elephants" was inside the circle labeled "Animals With Tusks," it would be A, but that is not the case. only part of it is inside. so D is the correct answer.

I hope this helps, and have a nice day!
