Answer: Climate Change is a massive product of 21st century humanity, as we as a species pollute more then ever before. There are many ways in which we pollute, however that is not important as your question requests why it is an important issue. The byproducts of internal combustion (Vehicular burning), and factory pollution not only pollutes the atmosphere with extra co2, but also with unnecessary heat. Our planet Earth is based off a delicate balance between man, plant life, animals, and the atmosphere. Ever since the 1750's we have begun polluting more and more. This causes many problems, the co2 makes less oxygen in the atmosphere meaning while plantlife will flourish, Earth's wildlife and mankind will go on the road to extinction. Another byproduct is heat, which can melt the polar ice caps. This will cause heavy damage to manmade infrastructure, and inevitably wipe out 1/5 of earths population (If not evacuated). Finally, Agriculture, while intense co2 might allow agriculture to flourish, the heat will not allow it to cool down to the specific temperature ratio for the crop to successfully provide a bountiful harvest. This is why we have things like "Strawberry Season" which grows a specific type of crop at a specific point in the year.

Hope the above was useful!

In water, hydrogen bonds are best described as _____.
Elina [12.6K]

Answer: Option D) covalent bonds between water molecules

In water, hydrogen bonds are best described as covalent bonds between water molecules

Explanation:

The hydrogen bonds between water molecules are covalent bonds because they are formed when oxygen attract the lone electron in hydrogen, thus resulting in the formation of a partially negative charge on the oxygen atom and a partially positive charge on two hydrogen atoms

Thus, the sharing of electrons between oxygen and hydrogen atoms is responsible for the covalent bonds between water molecules

Please help me with my 8th grade chemistry, I'm behind and don't understand it at all
padilas [110]

When a material is heated, the kinetic energy of that material increases and its atoms and molecules move about more. This means that each atom will take up more space due to its movement so the material will expand. ... Some metals expand more than others due to differences in the forces between the atoms / molecules.

Is copper II chloride mixed with water an element, compound, or mixture? If it's a mixture is it homogeneous or heterogeneous?
Fittoniya [83]

Answer:

1. mixture

2. Homogenous

Explanation:

Copper II chloride is a compound because it consists of elements that are chemically combined together. When a solute in this case, copper II chloride is mixed with water- a solvent, the result is a homogenous mixture.

Homogenous substances are formed when a solute and a solvent combine, resulting in a mixture with uniform properties. Mixtures can be separated using relevant separation techniques.
