The distance between city A and city B is 22 miles. The distance between city B and city C is 54 miles. The distance between cit

y A and city C is 51 miles.
What type of triangle is created by the three cities?

an acute triangle, because 222 + 542 >512

54 is the hypotenuse because it is the longest side. Square all of the sides. So 54^2=2916
51^2=2601
22^2=484
Now you have 2916=2601+484
Add the two and they will be greater than 2916. Because of that, you will have an acute triangle because 22^2+51^2>54^2
In short, its B

The answer is an acute triangle, because 22^2 + 51^2 > 54^2. In order to find out whether a triangle is acute or obtuse, we must square the lengths of all sides of the triangle. If the largest side's square is less than the two smallest sides' squares added together, than you have an acute triangle. If the largest side's square is larger though, than you have an obtuse triangle.

What value is an x worth
gogolik [260]

Answer:

The letter "x" is often used in algebra to mean a value that is not yet known. It is called a "variable" or sometimes an "unknown". In x + 2 = 7, x is a variable, but we can work out its value if we try! A variable doesn't have to be "x", it could be "y", "w" or any letter, name or symbol.

Using the following triangle, what is the cosine of angle B?
stealth61 [152]

Hello!

To find cosine, use the formula cos = adjacent / hypotenuse.

According to angle B, adjacent of angle B is side A, and the hypotenuse is side c because the hypotenuse is always opposite the right angle.

Therefore, the cosine of angle B is a/c.

A toy rocket was shot into the air. The graph below represents the height over the time of the rocket. Which of the following ar
Ludmilka [50]

Answer: Option 'B' and 'C' are correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

A rocket was fired into the air.

The rocket reached a maximum height of 59 feet at point (3.5,59) as shown in the figure.

And it took the rocket 3.5 seconds to reach its maximum height.

and the rocket landed after 6.9 seconds, So option 'D' is false which states The rocket landed after 34 seconds.

The equation that represents the rocket’s height over time has two solutions is completely false as it has only one solutions.

Hence, Option 'B' and 'C' are correct.
