Answer:

a

Step-by-step explanation:

Since f(x) = 4x^{2} + x^{4} and g(x) = \sqrt (x^{2}+4),

(f g) (x) = f( x ) * g( x ) = ( 4x^{2} + x^{4}) ( x^{2} +4 )^(1/2)

Find the measures of the angles of a triangle if the measure of one angle is twice the measure of a second angle and the third a
guapka [62]

Answer:

<h2><em> 38°, 66° and 76°</em></h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

A triangle consists of 3 angles and sides. The sum of the angles in a triangle is 180°. Let the angle be <A, <B and <C.

<A + <B + <C = 180° ...... 1

If the measure of one angle is twice the measure of a second angle then

<A = 2<B ...... 2

Also if the third angle measures 3 times the second angle decreased by 48, this is expressed as <C = 3<B-48............ 3

Substituting equations 2 and 3 into 1 will give;

(2<B) + <B + (3<B-48) = 180°

6<B- 48 = 180°

add 48 to both sides

6<B-48+48 = 180+48

6<B = 228

<B = 228/6

<B =38°

To get the other angles of the triangle;

Since <A = 2<B  from equation 2;

<A = 2(38)

<A = 76°

Also <C = 3<B-48 from equation 3;

<C = 3(38)-48

<C = 114-48

<C = 66°

<em>Hence the measures of the angles of the triangle are 38°, 66° and 76°</em>

On a number line 8.63 would be located where
Oksanka [162]

Answer:

It would be slightly higher than 8.5 and lower than 9.

Step-by-step explanation:

8.6 is bigger than 8.5, but it's smaller than 9, so you would place it in between the two but closer to the 8.5 mark.

The equation of a parabola is y=x^2-10x+27. Write the equation in vertex form
azamat

Answer:

\large \boxed{y = (x - 5)^{2} + 2 }

Step-by-step explanation:

y = x² - 10x + 27

y = ax² + bx + c

This is the general form of the equation for a parabola.

We must convert it to the vertex form

y = (x - h)² + k, where (h,k) are the coordinates of the vertex.

We can do this by completing the square.

\begin{array}{rcll}y & = & x^{2} - 10x + 27 & \\y - 27 & = & x^{2} - 10x & \text{Subtracted 27 from each side}\\y - 27&= & x^{2} - 10x + 25 - 25 & \text{Added and subtracted (b/2)}^{2}\\y - 27&= & (x - 5)^{2} - 25 & \text{Wrote the first three terms as the square of a binomial}\\y& = & \mathbf{(x - 5)^{2} + 2} & \text{Added 27 to each side}\\\end{array}\\\text{The vertex form of the parabola is $\large \boxed{\mathbf{y = (x - 5)^{2} + 2 }}$}The figure below shows that your parabola has its vertex at (5,2).
