All the species you mentioned which can "crossbreed" are just that - single species which can breed within their species. All the different breeds of dog, for example, are the same species. Thus what they do is not "crossbreeding" at all. The exceptions that I can think of are: horses can breed with donkeys although they are different species, and also with zebras. This only happens in captivity, however - in wild situations, the different social behaviors of the species prevents them from getting together. And the hybrids produced are usually sterile.

A Cotton shirt takes more time to dry as compared to a synthetic shirt. Why?

Salsk061 [2.6K]

Answer:

Due to absorption of more water.

Explanation:

A Cotton shirt takes more time to dry as compared to a synthetic shirt due to absorption of more water by the cotton fiber as compare to other fiber. Cotton absorbs much more water than other synthetic fibers, and attached to the molecules of cotton for longer period of time which means cotton fibers take more time to dry as compared to synthetic fiber which absorb little amount of water and loosely attached to the molecules of fiber.
