What do Jem and Scout agree to do with the items they find in the tree on the edge of the Radleys’ yard? What conclusions about

these items does Jem seem to be making without sharing with Scout? Scout says, “Before Jem went to his room, he looked for a long time at the Radley place. He seemed to be thinking again.” What do you think Jem was thinking about?

Jem and Scout agree to leave the items for a few days before taking them, just to make sure the gifts are for them. Jem believes the gifts are from Boo, but he isn't sure..... at least until Mr. Radley fills up the hole.
