A close-up photograph is generally taken

English
1 answer:

se up photography, is the act of photographing objects such as flowers or insects in close range so the subject you are photographing fills the frame. In other words, it’s the act of photographing subjects close up. This is easily achievable with any lens, even a 300mm telephoto lens.

Macro photography is in essence close up photography as well. However, close up photography is not always considered as true macro photography. For example, if you have a lens that is NOT considered a real macro lens, yet offers a macro setting (as many do nowadays), this is usually refered to as being close up photography, and not true macro.

Which type of figurative language is in the phrase, "in over his head"?
dolphi86 [110]

Answer:The idioms in over one’s head and over one’s head differ by only one, small, preposition. However, this preposition makes the definitions of these two phrases totally different.  An idiom is a word, group of words or phrase that has a figurative definition that is not easily deduced from its literal meaning.

Which sentence from Washington Irving's short story "The Devil and Tom Walker" is an example of indirect characterization?
Stella [2.4K]
I would say that the sentence which is an example of indirect characterization is the following one:
<span>"Tom's wife was a tall termagant, fierce of temper, loud of tongue, and strong of arm."
</span>The reason why I chose this sentence is because of the word <em>termagant, </em>meaning a violent, overbearing, turbulent, brawling, quarrelsome woman.
