The G stands for gallons, the Q stands for how many quarts are in a Gallon, the P’s in the quarts stand for how many pints are in a quart and the C stands for how many cups are in the pints. If you count the c’s, you will find out that there are 16 cups in 1 gallon. I hope this helped you!
