“Whereäs” as an alternative spelling of “whereas”

English

Yes, it seems to be an alternative, in some situations acceptable, but eccentric and not neutral spelling of this word. It accents the fact that "ea" here are two separate vowels rather than a diphthong: that is the function of the  trema (the two dots).

In practice it's not used much, because it's not really necessary: it does not distinguish it from any other word, and trema is not easy to find on English keyboards: so there is no need.

Technology is a modern day savior.

We use technology every single day, without the use of technology we would not be advanced as we are now in terms of education. We are literally using technology to write this. Technology is a miracle for thousands of people, as some people rely on technology in hospitals to keep people alive. technology is how you can get information on things, communicate, and so many more things.
