What is the chemical equation for photosynthesis?

ANSWER: carbon dioxide + electron donor + light energy ==> carbohydrate + oxidized electron donor + water

CO2 + 2H2A + photons ==> [CH2O] + 2A + H2O

List and describe the 4 levels of cellular organization from simplest to most complex

1.Cells!

2.Organs!

3.Organ system!

4.organisms!

Explain the relationship between the respiratory and circulatory systems.

Circulatory systems need to form oxygen into the lungs and pump up blood around our body and the respiratory system gives out the oxygen and gets the oxygen from the atmosphere into our blood-stream. Without either of these systems, each would have absolutely no purpose. Like peanut butter and jelly sandwich, without the jelly it has no purpose of being a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Explain the relationship between the skeletal and muscular systems.

without our musles our body wouldnt function properly, we need musles in order to move, the same goes to the bones! without the bones our body would be a pile of jello.

Define biome.

A biome naturally occurs when a community of flora and fauna is occupying a major habitat, forests or tundra.

What 2 things do scientists look at to categorize a biome?

the 2 things that scientists observe to categorize a biome is temperature and precipitation.

Define climate. How is climate different from weather?

The difference between weather and climate change depends on the measure of time. Weather depends on the short-term atmospheric conditions in a area, while climate change depends on the average daily weather over a long period of time.

Compare and contrast a food chain and a food web. Explain the purpose of the arrows in each.

They both show the feeding relationships in an ecosystem.

Altho a food chain is simply a linear feeding relationship while, a food web is a complex difficult feeding relationship.

The arrows show which direction the feeding goes next!

What is a producer? Where do producers get their energy from? Where do you find them in a food chain and in a food web? (HINT: remember “produce” means to create something yourself)

Plants can be called a producer. Plants get their energy from sunlight and turn it into Glucose (sugar). You find the plant being eaten by a bunny, or etc.

What would happen if producers were removed from a food web?

If the plants were removed from this cycle, the bunnies etc, would die meaning the preditors would also die which means our world would be un-balanced.

What is a consumer? Where do consumers get their energy from?

(HINT: remember “consume” means to eat something outside of yourself)

A consumer eats the plants, the consumers get their energy from the producers.

List and describe the 5 types of consumers. Be able to give an example of each.

1. Rabbit, eats plants.

2. Chickens, eat grass

3. horse, eats grass/hay

4. Elephants eat grass

5. moose eats leaves

Which 2 types of consumers are known as “nature’s clean-up crew”? Why are they important.

EARTHWORMS- earth worms are important because they dig wholes. These wholes create pores throughout,  which water can enter and Carbon dioxide leave the good soil.

FUNGI- OLD FOOD- Fungi is the major role in the cycle!! whithout it the cycle would reduce a lot!

What is a decomposer? Give some examples.

Decomposers include varieties of different bacterias, worms, slugs, snails, fungi etc. All of these organisms break down or/and eat dead or decomposing organisms/bones to help carry out the process of decomposition.

List and describe the 3 types of symbiotic relationships.

1. mutualism,

2. commensalism

3. parasitism

Describe the difference between parasitism and predation.

The difference is that a predator immediately kills the prey in predation.

Adaptation and Change

Climate change adaptation is a idiction to global warming.

Define natural selection.

is a process where organisms adapts to their environment to survive and produce more offspring.
