What heat source should you use to heat flammable organic solvents?
Fynjy0 [20]
Many organic compounds are ignitable, putting them in direct flame may cause fires or combustion. it is possible to start a fire on a hot plate, but typically hot plates are not heated as high and the temperature is somewhat controll-able... you can not control the temperature of a bunsen burner very easily i would not through acetone or ethanol on a hot plate, as it can catch on fire or cause burns, but it's much worse with the bunsen burner.

I believe you mean mid-ocean ridge?

If so, true.

A mid-ocean ridge or mid-oceanic ridge is an underwater mountain range, formed by plate tectonics.

This uplifting of the ocean floor occurs when convection currents rise in the mantle beneath the oceanic crust and create magma where two tectonic plates meet at a divergent boundary.

A mid-ocean ridge demarcates the boundary between two tectonic plates, and consequently is termed a divergent plate boundary.

Define "Fracking" and ways it can alter/upset the water cycle.
Nata [24]

Answer:

Fracking can contaminate water supplies if it is not done properly, because the fracking fluid injected into rock to enable gas to be released often contains chemicals. If the borehole is not properly cased to stop leaks, the fracking water can escape into the aquifer
