At a time denoted ast = 0a technological innovation is introduced into a community that has a fixed population of n people. Dete

rmine a differential equation for the number of people x(t) who have adopted the innovation at time t if it is assumed that the rate at which the innovations spread through the community is jointly proportional to the number of people who have adopted it and the number of people who have not adopted it. (Usek > 0for the constant of proportionality and x forx(t).Assume that initially one person adopts the innovation.)

Answer and Explanation:

He rate at which the innovation spread through the community is the number of people proportional to the people adopted it and the people who don't adopted it as constant of proportionality is k , and the fixed population of the community is n.

Suppose

 Number of people who have adopted innovation at time t = x (t)

Number of people who don’t adopted innovation at time t = n – x (t)

 Then the differential equation is:

                                  dx/dt = kx (n-x), k > 0

Where k is the constant of proportionality.

The number of cubic feet of water in a curved container can be approximated by v = 0.95h2.9. use a calculator to find the amount
Black_prince [1.1K]
V=0.95h^2.9
h=7.5 feet→V=0.95(7.5)^2.9
V=0.95(344.8876664)
V=327.6432830
Rounded to the nearest tenth:
V=327.6 cubic feet

Use the x-values: 1, 2, 3, and 4 to write solutions of the equation y = 14x + 8 as ordered pairs.
ryzh [129]
The options can be resumed to the 2nd and 3rd options. If the x-values come first when representing the pair of coordinates, so they will look like (1, y), (2, y), (3, y), and (4, y).

Now we only need to calculate the y-values.
y(1)=14×1+8 ⇔ y(1)=14+8 ⇔ y(1)=22

From only this result we know that the correct option is the third, starting with (1,22).
Only for verification, below are the other y-values' calculations.
y(2)=14×2+8 ⇔ y(2)=36
y(3)=14×3+8 ⇔ y(3)=50
y(4)=14×4+8 ⇔ y(4)=64
