Answer:

a = 125°

b = 55°

c = 55°

d = 55°

e = 125°

f = 55°

Step-by-step explanation:

See the attached diagram.

The angles (x + 75)° and (2x + 25)° are the alternate angles and they are equal.

So, x + 75 = 2x + 25

⇒ x = 50

Hence, (x + 75)° = (50 + 75)° = 125°.

Now, from the given diagram it is clear that

a = (x + 75)° = (2x + 25)° = e = 125°

And, b = c = d = f = 55°

This is because, a and b are supplementary angles and their sum will be 180°.

So, a + b = 180°

⇒ 125° + b = 180°

⇒ b = 55°

So, b = c = d = f = 55° (Answer)

A $17,000 T-bill is purchased at a 2.75% discount rate for 20 weeks. Find the effective rate of interest to the nearest hundredt
katen-ka-za [31]
Note: 20 weeks = 20/52 or 5/13 of a year.

Let E = effective rate of interest

E = [1 + (r/m)]^m - 1 where r is the nominal (annual ) advertised rate; m is the number of compounding periods/year.

Let r = 0.0275

Let m = 5/13

Plug into formula and do the math.

What is the value of tanΘ in the unit circle below?
mina [271]
From the picture, we can see the pair, bear in mind that terminal point pair is really the (x,y) pair or namely the (cosine, sine) pair, so we know what the cosine and sine are.

\bf tan(\theta )=\cfrac{\stackrel{sine}{\quad \frac{1}{2}\quad }}{\stackrel{cosine}{\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}}}\implies \cfrac{1}{2}\cdot \cfrac{2}{\sqrt{3}}\implies \cfrac{1}{\sqrt{3}}\implies \stackrel{\textit{rationalizing the denominator}}{\cfrac{1}{\sqrt{3}}\cdot \cfrac{\sqrt{3}}{\sqrt{3}}\implies \cfrac{\sqrt{3}}{3}}
