Answer:

Yes and No. Here's Why:

Explanation:

I think that there is a culture where if you watch Anime, you will get judged and I do think that many people consider Anime degenerate because anime has a controversial reputation. I think a sense of degeneracy will always be there. Depending on what kind of Anime you're watching, you might be considered a degenerate. So I think yes, I think that certain types of Anime do promote degeneracy.

BUT, I don't think that watching Anime makes someone a degenerate. Everyone's entitled to like whatever they want and watch whatever they want. Anime is just a different type of entertainment. I don't really see how watching Anime could make someone any less because it's a matter of taste and opinion. I could not like Anime, but does my taste dictate someone’s self-worth? No. At least in my opinion. Someone who does watch Anime is not a degenerate just because someone else doesn’t like it. I mean I don't think so because it's interpretation. Now yes, there are controversial parts of the Anime world but there are really good shows like Pokémon and Attack on Titan. (Yes I know, very generic.) I feel like anime gets a bad wrap because people think of it as immature or they associate with a certain characteristic. I think Anime is really fascinating because people put a lot of time and effort into creating something enjoyable.

Answer:

During the preconventional level of moral development , humans take developed our moral standard based on what the authority figures told us to. This tend to happen during our childhood, when our parents basically the one that determine what we should consider as right and wrong. (they will punish us if we behave in a way that they do not like)

This what make our moral judgement become self-centered. Since we only believe what our parents told us as absolute truth, we refuse the moral standard that is held by other people who were taught differently. But the truth is more complicated that that. Society's rule making process tend to be influenced by different cultures, religion , and personal experience that might vary between each individuals.
