Native American Indian tribes shared many things. One of them was the respect they showed for Mother Nature and the dependency they had of the many resources nature offered them.

They did not have the idea of "owning" property as the white European settlers had. The Native American Indians believed that nature provided everything they needed and that is why the thanked it and honored it with dances and chants.
