Answer:

f(x)= 8(2)^x

Step-by-step explanation:

She had 8 subscribers at the beginning of the month. One month later, her number of subscribers doubled and continued to double each month

when month =0  the subscribers = 8    (0,8)

month =1 , subscribers = 16            (1,16)

month = 2, subscribers = 32  and so on         (2,32)

Subscribers are doubled every month

For exponential growth we use formula y=ab^x

where 'a' is the initial value. given initial value is 8 so a=8

To frame the function , we plug in (1,16) a=8 and solve for b

y = ab^x

16 = 8b^1

divide by 8 on both sides

b^1 = 2  so b= 2

Exponential function becomes (a=8,  b= 2)

y = ab^x

f(x)= 8(2)^x

She had 8 subscribers at the beginning of the month

So when month x=0  then the number of subscribers = 8

Domain x starts from 0 month and it goes on increasing

Domain x be the number of months.

Anne pays cash for a Tv. The store owner gives her a 10% discount. She pays $702. How much was the price of the Tv before a disc
Whitepunk [10]

Answer:

$780

Step-by-step explanation:

P = Original Price

P (100% - 10%) = $702

P (90%) = $702

(P (.9)) / .9 = $702 / .9

P = $780

Check answer:

$780 (90%) = $702

The diagram shows a solid formed by joining a hemisphere, of radius rcm, to a cylinder, of radius rcm and height hcm. The total
posledela

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The total surface area of the sphere = 2πr²

Total surface area of the cylinder = 2πr²+2πrh

Total surface area of the solid = 4πr²+2πrh

r is the radius of the sphere and the cylinder

h is the height of the cylinder

Total surface area of the solid = 2πr(r+h)

If the total height of the solid is 18 cm, then r+h = 18cm

Given the Total surface area of the solid = 205π cm

205π = 2πr(r+h)

205π = 2πr(18)

205π = 36πr

205 = 36r

Divide both sides by 36

205/36 = 36r/36

r = 5.69cm

Since  r+h = 18cm

5.69+h = 18

h = 18-5.69

h = 12.31cm
