Simple, just add the values of the school distance with the library distance, then substract the distance to the park.

If you are lazy like me, the answer is C, 1.08.

The accompanying Venn diagram illustrates a sample space containing six sample points and three events, A, B, and C. The probabi
Ede4ka [16]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the probability of a certain set, we must add the probability of the points that are contained in the specific set.

a) P(A): Add the probability of 1,3,5. That is P(1)+P(3)+P(5) = 0.5

b) P(A\cap B). This set has no points in it, so its probability is 0.

c) P(A\cup B \cup C): Add the probability of 1,2,3,4,5,6. So, it is 1.

d) P(C^c) = 1- P(C). P(C) is the probability by summing 5,6,2 so P(C) = 0.5. So P(C^c)=0.5

e) P(A\cap C^c) That is, all the points that are in A but not in C. So add 1,3. Then the probability is 0.4

e')P(B|A) = \frac{P(A\cap B )}{P(A)}=\frac{0}{0.5}=0, using the definition of conditional probabily and results a,b.

f) Two events are mutually exlusive if the probability of their intersection is 0. In this case A and C are not mutually exclusive, since P(A\cap C) is the probability of 5, that is 0.1. Since 0.1>0, they are not mutually exclusive.

The student body of 24 students
postnew [5]

There are 10,626 ways of arranging the required offices from a body of 24 students.

What is combination?

Combination deals with the way in which a arrangement can be made from a particular lot. In this case, we want to select a president, minister of Arts, minister of PE department, and minister of Science from a body of 24 students.

Hence;

24C4 = 24!/4! (24 - 4)! = 24!/4!20!

So;

24 * 23 * 22 * 21 * 20!/20! * 4 * 3 * 2*1

= 24 * 23 * 22 * 21 / 4 * 3 * 2*1

= 10,626 ways

Jocelyn borrowed 3.75 kg of flour from her grandmother to bake 3 batches of cookies and 2 cakes. each cookie recipe called for 2
maria [59]
Jocelyn borrowed 3.75kg which is equivalent to 3750grams
Assuming a batch is one cookie recipe then:
3 batches * 225 grams = 675grams
Jocelyn will use 675 grams of flour to bake 3 batches of cookies.

A cake recipe requires 1.2kg (equivalent to 1200grams).
She wants to bake 2 cakes
2 cakes *1200grams = 2400 grams
Jocelyn will use 2400 grams of flour to bake 2 cakes.

Add the total amount of flour she is going to use
2400 (for the cake) + 675grams (cookies) = 3075
She will use 3075 grams of flour in total.

Now take original borrowed amount from the amount she will use
3750-3075= 675

Therefore, Jocelyn will return 675 grams of flour back to her grandmother
But obviously we must assume she doesn't spill any flour when she makes the cake but in this situation it doesn't ask for assumptions. So the answer should be 675 grams of flour.
