<span>(n-2)180=sum of the interior angles.

Where n=number of angles of a regular polygon.

(n-2)180=2340

divide both sides by 180 and get

n-2=13

add 2 to both sides and get

n=15 Therefore, this polygon has 15 sides.</span>

To find the sum of the interior angles of a polygon, use the formula (n-2) x 180. Plug in the numbers to get your sum. 11-2=9 x 180 =1620, so it's not A. 13-2=11 x 180= 1980, so it's not B. 15-2=13 x 180 = 2340. Your answer is  C.15.

Amanda simplifies the following expression and shows her work below. What mistake did Amanda make that resulted in an incorrect
den301095 [7]

Answer:

A, She added before multiplying.

Step-by-step explanation:

First, start off by using GEMDAS.

Grouping

Exponents

Multiply

Divide

Add

Subtract

You work from left to right - so you obviously divide first, which Amanda did successfully. Then, you multiply, which is exactly where Amanda went wrong. She was supposed to multiply before adding the 3 with 4.

Not sure if this made sense,

A ball is thrown upward from ground level. Its height h, in feet, above the ground after t seconds is h-48t -16t^2.
Marat540 [252]

Answer:

36 feet.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given that a ball is thrown upward from ground level. Its height h, in feet, above the ground after t seconds is h(t)=-48t -16t^2. We are asked to find the maximum height of the ball.

We can see that our given equation is a downward opening parabola, so its maximum height will be the vertex of the parabola.

To find the maximum height of the ball, we need to find y-coordinate of vertex of parabola.

Let us find x-coordinate of parabola using formula x=-\frac{b}{2a}.

x=-\frac{-48}{2(-16)}

x=-\frac{48}{32}

x=-\frac{3}{2}

So, the x-coordinate of the parabola is -\frac{3}{2}. Now, we will substitute x=-\frac{3}{2} in our given equation to find y-coordinate of parabola.

h(t)=-48t -16t^2

h(-\frac{3}{2})=-48(-\frac{3}{2})-16(-\frac{3}{2})^2

h(-\frac{3}{2})=-24(-3)-16(\frac{9}{4})

h(-\frac{3}{2})=72-4*9

h(-\frac{3}{2})=72-36

h(-\frac{3}{2})=36

Therefore, the maximum height of the ball is 36 feet.
