It is true that Rwanda and DR Congo both struggled with political instability after gaining independence.

Explanation:

After the World War II ended, the European colonial powers were significantly weakened, and on top of that there were lot of movements for independence. This resulted in the Europeans to start granting independence to their colonies, including in Africa, so lot of new countries emerged. Two of those countries were Rwanda and DR Congo.

As many African countries, these two struggled politically after they gained independence. DR Congo fell into the hands of a military dictator, and the country was in a mess for decades, and still is. The corruption became part of the everyday life, few people controlled all the wealth, while the majority of the population was struggling to survive. Pretty much everything was solved through violence. Rwanda had big internal tensions between its two largest ethnic groups, the Hutus and the Tutsies. The majority Hutu population launched an attack on the Tutsies in order to destroy them, resulting in genocide.

Other countries that experiences similar destinies  are:

  • Liberia
  • Ivory Coast
  • Zimbabwe

A) It is easier to lift up a load in water than in air, why?
Alexxandr [17]

Short Answer:

buoyancy

Long answer:

An object submerged in water displaces water according to how much it weighs. In fact, the water will push upward against the object with a force equal to the weight of the water it displaces. For example, a bowling ball and a beach ball that are the same size will have the same volume. The bowling ball, however, is more massive and thus denser than the beach ball. In both cases, the water pushes up against the ball with a force equal to the weight of water it displaced. In the case of the bowling ball, it weighs more than the amount of water it displaced, so it sinks. The beach ball, however, displaces very little water and the air inside it is much lighter than the weight of the water it displaced, so it floats. When lifting something underwater, you have the help of water pushing the object upwards along with your own strength, which is why it's easier to pick up things underwater than on land.

How is Mexico’s Population changing?
Doss [256]

The 2010 census indicates that since 1960 Mexico’s population has more than tripled to 112.3 million. However, the growth rate between 2000 and 2010 (1.4% per year) is less than half the 3.4% rate of increase experienced in the 1960s. If Mexico’s population had continued to grow at 3.4% since 1960, it would have been over 186 million by now!
