Answer:

Prediction results for glucose transport in the presence of Dinitrophenol (DNP) are as following:

  1. Decreased transport of glucose
  2. DNP disrupts the gradient of protons and the output of ATP
  3. ATP needed for the Na+/K+ pump to the est. Gradient Na+
  4. The gradient required for Sodium-glucose cotransporters (SGLTs)

Dinitrophenol (DNP) is an uncoupler, or is capable of separating electron flow and H+ ion pumping for ATP synthesis. This means that ATP synthesis can not use the energy from electron transfer, hence it will support in lab as well.

Fill a glass with water above the rim. It forms a domed surface. Add a paper clip and watch it float, even though
Fudgin [204]

Answer:

Water has several  very unique properties, like surface tension, cohesion, and adhesion because water  is polar and every water molecule electrically attracts the neighboring  water molecules.

Explanation:

Water is a universal solvent and has several  unique properties like surface tension, adhesion, cohesion, high specific heat, etc.

In a water molecule, the oxygen atom's nucleus attracts electrons more strongly than the nuclei of hydrogen atoms. The negatively charged electrons are pulled toward the oxygen atom's nucleus and away from the hydrogen atom nuclei. As a result, a negative electrical charge occurs in the middle part of the water molecule near the oxygen atom and a positive charge near the other parts of the molecule (hydrogen atoms). This unequal distribution of electrical charge between different parts of the water molecule (polarity) makes it a polar molecule.

The positive part of one water molecule (hydrogen atoms) is attracted to the negative parts of neighboring water molecules and as a result, hydrogen bonds are formed between hydrogen and oxygen atoms of adjacent water molecules. These hydrogen bonds between molecules help hold water molecules together.

Grace was out on a crowded dance floor when the person dancing next to her accidentally kicked her in the leg. Which type of neu
Vera_Pavlovna [14]

Answer:

sensory neurons

Explanation:

Sensory neuron is a biological term that describes the nerve cells or neurons present in the nervous system. They function by activating certain stimuli into action or graded potentials through receptors.

For example, when you touch a block of ice, the sensory nervous will send the signal to the whole nervous system.

Hence, in this case, it can be concluded that the correct answer is "Sensory neuron."
