Answer:

Yes, the two similar triangles because there are two pairs of congruent corresponding angles

Step-by-step explanation:

from the give figure:

In ΔUTV

\angle U = 80^{\circ}

\angle V= 55^{\circ}

By angle sum  property of triangle;

\angle U + \angle V + \angle T = 180^{\circ}

Substitute the given values;

80^{\circ}+ 55^{\circ} + \angle T = 180^{\circ}

135^{\circ} + \angle T = 180^{\circ}

⇒\angle T = 180^{\circ}- 135^{\circ} = 45^{\circ}

Now, In ΔUTV and ΔYXW

\angle V = \angle W = 55^{\circ}

\angle T = \angle X = 45^{\circ}

AA similarity postulate states that the two triangles are similar if they have two corresponding angles that are congruent or equal in measure.

so, by AA similarity;

\triangle UVT \sim \triangle YXW

Yes they are similar. I believe one of them is smaller and upside. The size is different but the shape is the same!

Hope this helped  :)

What is the image of C for a 90 degree counterclockwise rotation about A?
Mashcka [7]

counter clockwise would be rotating it up to the right.

C is 4 spaces away from A ,

 A is on X3 & Y3 so 4 +3 = 7

so it would be x7 & Y3 so (7,3), the first answer

Use the discriminant to determine how many real number solutions exist for the quadratic equation –4j2 + 3j – 28 = 0. A. 3 B. 2
Zepler [3.9K]

Answer:

C. 0

Step-by-step explanation:

–4j^2 + 3j – 28 = 0

The discriminant is b^2-4ac  if >0 we have 2 real solutions

                                                   =0  we have 1 real solutions

                                                   <0 we have 2 imaginary solutions

a = -4, b =3  c = -28

b^2 -4ac

(3)^2 - 4(-4)*(-28)

9 - 16(28)

9 -448

This will be negative so we have two imaginary solutions.

Therefore we have 0 real solutions
