Statistics question, please help.
Leto [7]
Answer will be C y=-x+6
Why?
The line or scatterpoints are going down from left to right which means it is a negative slope
As you can see one point is at 1,5 and the other is at 0,6 which means the slope goes down by 1
Giving you -x
What is the y intercept?? It is 6 so that completes the line equation
Y=-x+6 hope that helps

Need help on this !!!!!!
grin007 [14]

Answer:

y = 3x + 3

Step-by-step explanation:

y = mx + b where m= slope and b= y-intercept

the y-intercept is the point where x=0 or where the line crosses the y-axis.

This happens at (0,3) on the graph, so the y-intercept, or b, is equal to 3.

for m, slope can be defined as rise/run. So starting from a point you are given on the graph (-1,-2), count the number of spaces up you rise and how many you must go over (run) to get to the next point (0,3)

if you count, you should rise from (-1,-2) 5 spaces and move to the right (run) 1 space to get to (0,3).

rise/run = 3/1

3/1 = 3

the slope is 3.

now that you have the slope and the y-intercept, you can just plug it into the equation

y = 3x + 3

While on vacation in Mexico Jeremiah reads a distance marker that indicates he is 89 kilometers from Juarez. If 1 mile is approx
Sedbober [7]

Answer:

Distance  between Jeremiah and  Juarez is 55.3 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given

1 mile is approximately 1.61 kilometers

so,

1.61 km =1 mile

we can divide both sides by 1.61

1km=\frac{1}{1.61}mile

now, to find for 89 km

we can multiply both sides by 89

89\times 1km=89\times\frac{1}{1.61}mile

now, we can simplify it

and we get

89 km =55.2795 mile

so, nearest tenth is

89 km =55.3 mile

So,

Distance  between Jeremiah and  Juarez is 55.3 miles
