2a+3c=61

2a=61-3c

a=30.5-1.5c

...

3a+5c=96, using a found above we get:

3(30.5-1.5c)+5c=96

91.5-4.5c+5c=96

91.5+0.5c=96

0.5c=4.5

c=9, and since a=30.5-1.5c

a=17

So adult tickets cost £17.00 and child tickets cost £9.00

Construct a 95% confidence interval to estimate the population mean using the data below. x overbarequals37 sigmaequals10 nequa
kap26 [50]

Answer:

With 95% confidence when n equals 44, the population mean is between a lower limit of 33.96 and an upper limit of 40.04

Step-by-step explanation:

Confidence Interval = mean + or - Error margin (E)

mean = 37

sd = 10

n = 44

degree of freedom = n - 1 = 44 - 1 = 43

t-value corresponding to 43 degrees of freedom and 95% confidence level is 2.0165

E = t × sd/√n = 2.0165×10/√44 = 3.04

Lower limit = mean - E = 37 - 3.04 = 33.96

Upper limit = mean + E = 37 + 3.04 = 40.04

95% confidence interval is between 33.96 and 40.04

Barrett and Penelope have some quarters for the vending machine.
lutik1710 [3]

Answer:

if we take the number of quarters Barrett have to be x we know Penelope has twice that ie 2x. so in total they have 2x+x = 60, 3x = 60; so x= 60/3 = 20.

Barrett has 20 quarters.

If w is a string of english letters a–z (all uppercase for the purposes of this problem), let wr denote the reverse of w; (train
Dennis_Churaev [7]

Answer:

f(x)=\left \{\begin{array}{rl}26^{\frac{k}{2}}&\text{for k even}\\26^{\frac{k+1}{2}}&\text{for k odd}\end{array}\right.

Step-by-step explanation:

Half the length of the palindrome can be any possible sequence of the 26 available letters. The other half is constrained to be the reverse of the same sequence. For odd length sequences, the middle letter can be any of the 26.

So, for k even, the number of palindromes is 26^(k/2). For k odd, the number is 26·26^((k-1)/2) = 26^)((k+1)/2).

25,812-4.2d=31.311-5.5d
Bas_tet [7]

Let's solve your equation step-by-step.

25812−4.2d=31.311−5.5d

Step 1: Simplify both sides of the equation.

25812−4.2d=31.311−5.5d

25812+−4.2d=31.311+−5.5d

−4.2d+25812=−5.5d+31.311

Step 2: Add 5.5d to both sides.

−4.2d+25812+5.5d=−5.5d+31.311+5.5d

1.3d+25812=31.311

Step 3: Subtract 25812 from both sides.

1.3d+25812−25812=31.311−25812

1.3d=−25780.689

Step 4: Divide both sides by 1.3.

1.3d

1.3

=

−25780.689

1.3
