Parents have to give example: Kids imitate what their parents do, if parents support each other in order to obtain the same (or very similar) income, respect each oder and show respectful love to each other, kids will imitate this behavior when they grow and they will treat not only their oposite gender, but everybody else, in the best way possible.
3. Teach the importance of respect: Parents need to teach their kids that respect is not only something that they can do or not do, that is a matter of social interaction responsability and that it should be mandatory for every single person to treat and be treated like that.
