HEY THERE!!

HEREDITY CAN BE ILLUSTRATED IN FOLLOWING WAYS:-

✔️ Understand the process by which genes of parents are transferred to their offspring.

✔️Understand the difference between a dominant an d recessive trait and understand how the presence of a trait may effect the physical. characteristics of an individual.

✔️Be able to complete a Punnet Square given the genotyp. e of parents

✔️Read and/or construct a pedigree chart mapping a specific trait in a family.

✔️ Determine the probability of a certain phenotype being expressed in an individual.

✔️ Be aware of the integral role of mathematics in science.

The distinction between sponges and other animal phyla is based mainly on the absence versus the presence of
Marina CMI [18]

Answer:

The correct answer is option D. True tissues.

Explanation:

The cell that made sponge does not form the tissue however sponge have cells that play important role and specific for specific function but does not have true tissues.

In other animal phyla cells form tissue or organ or organ systems and called as true tissues.

Thus, the correct answer is option D. True tissues.

Why is the average annual high temperature in Cape Hatteras, NC higher than the average annual high temperature in Monterey, CA?
Ksenya-84 [330]
The answer would be a because the jet stream is very cold and come down to the water like a magnet sort of and keeps the top of the water cold so there for you have a cold water current on the top of the water so the answer is )A

In natural selection what must be true of traits that are passed down through generationsal selection where do the alleles or tr
goblinko [34]
I'm not sure if I will answer the question you asked, as I many have interpreted it incorrectly. In natural selection, there must be variance in the gene pool, the total frequency of alleles in a population. Now, one of the organisms may have a gene that somehow helps them survive from the selective force much better compared to the others. If this does happen, over time the gene pool will narrow down to become just the genes of that organism that survived better in the first place because the rest would be taken care of by the selective force. So, the alleles and trait come from the first organisms that had the advantage over the others of its species.

(4pts) Drugs, medicines, and poisons often work by acting on endogenous proteins. They do this by looking similar to a signal mo
nalin [4]

Answer:

Drug, medicine, or poison: Muscarine; Looks similar to this endogenous molecule: Acetylcholine; Binds to this endogenous protein/receptor: muscarinic receptors

Drug, medicine, or poison: Tamoxifen; Looks similar to this endogenous molecule: estrogen; Binds to this endogenous protein/receptor: estrogen receptor

Drug, medicine, or poison: Prozac; Looks similar to this endogenous molecule: Serotonin; Binds to this endogenous protein/receptor: serotonin transporter protein

Drug, medicine, or poison: Ketamine; Looks similar to this endogenous molecule: NMDA; Binds to this endogenous protein/receptor: NMDA receptor

Explanation:

Muscarine is a poisonous natural product found in certain mushrooms. It is similar to acetylcholine and competes with acetylcholine at its receptor binding sites.Signs of muscarine poisoning include salivation, lacrimation, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, bradycardia, etc.

Tamoxifen is a selective estrogen receptor modulator. It is similar to estrogen and acts by inhibiting the effects of estrogen in the breast tissue. It is used to prevent and treat breast cancer in men and women.

Prozac is an antidepressant which belongs to th class known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. It looks similar to serotonin and inhibits its action by competing with serotonin for its binding site. It is used for the treatment of depression disorders.

Ketamine is an NMDA (N-Methyl-D-aspartate) receptor antagonist. NMDA receptor antagonists are a class of drugs that work by inhibiting the action of the NMDA receptor. They are commonly used as anesthetics for animals and humans to induce a state of anesthesia known as dissociative anesthesia.

A group of student set up an experiment to test the effects of exercise on the rate of cellular respiration. During the experime
elixir [45]

The answer would be B:The data suggests that exercise increases the rate of cellular respiration because more carbon dioxide was produced.

The data has a consistent trend that show the time needed to change BTB color after exercising is much shorter compared to before exercising. If the time needed longer, this show that the amount carbon dioxide removed from the lungs is higher. The reaction that power up the muscle will produce carbon dioxide as side product in cellular respiration.
