 The unknown is rather the question of how many hours the taxi drove. We can give it the symbol X.

Your equation would be: 40x + 30 = 150

(SOLVED):
40x +30(-30) = 150(-30)
40x= 120
40/40=120/40
x=3

*The driver drove the passenger for 3 total hours*

I don't have any pictures of graphs but a function that has a range of (2, infinity) means that hte lowers point (lowest y-value) is 2, and the height function keeps increasing (the y-value keeps increasing) to infinity.
