The endosymbiotic theory states that around four billion years ago, life emerges on earth. It also states that prokaryotes, and eukaryotes, have the same ancestor. This statement is justified by the evidence that indicates the first <u>eukaryote is like an amoeba</u> that might have engulfed the prokaryotic cells. The prokaryotic cells have survived within the organism that leads to a symbiotic relationship.

<u>The mitochondria and chloroplast were formed or developed during the process</u>, which is capable of aerobic respiration. Due to which they have the same ribosome as bacteria. They lose their cell wall and certain another part of the DNA because there was no use of it. <u>They are not able to survive outside the host cell. They have their DNA (circular in structure) and ribosomes. </u>
