Well it decreased because of all the bombing and shooting going on and so many people that where not even involved with the war die. The presentdent at that time wanted to test out this new bomb see how bad it was. it killed nearly almost every one there. then on top of that you had hitler killing Jews for no reason so many lives where taking at that time. hope this helped :)

American citizens faced the largest economic downturn ever lived in the country, major unemployment due to the fall of production in fabrics. Many people lost its job, became homeless, and due to the fall of the investments ended up in debt.  

The American sentiment was painful. Many people had lost its savings and homes. American citizens blamed him for the situation, <em>although he did no cause the problems</em>. Sad and angry people considered that he allow the situation to fester and even deepened during his tenure.

Americans came to the new land to be separated from Britain. We found ourselves wanting to become a nation of our own. Americans came together to go against Britain by not paying their taxes and also dumping that tea resembling we will never stand along side Britain again.
