-6 times -x( or -1), -6 times 8.
6x+2=-6+12
6x+2=6
6x=6-2
6x=4
x=4/6
x=2/3

Answer:

Domain (Basically means the sets of values of x-axis).Hence, the set of values of domain is given by -3<domain<1. Meaning domain lies between values more than -3 and less than 1.

Range (Basically means the sets of values of y-axis). Hence, the set of values of range is given by -1<range<3. Meaning that range lies between values more than -1 and less than 3.

Function basically means the equation of the given circle. We know that equation of circle is given by;

(x-h)^2+ (y-k)^2 = r^2 [where (h, k) is the center of circle and r is the radius of circle]

From the figure,

(h, k)= (-1 ,1) and r= 2.

So, we can conclude that function is given by equation:

(x-(-1))^2 + (y-1)^2 =  2^2

(x+1)^2  +  (y-1)^2 = 4.

7x + 2y=24<br> 8x + 2y=30
Bumek [7]

Answer:

x=6 y=-9

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Layer the equations on each other as you would in a subtraction problem:

               8x + 2y=30

               7x + 2y=24

  • Subtract the equation just like you would normally. This should leave 1x=6 or x=6.
  • Now that you have your x value, plug it in as x for one of the equations. For the 2nd equation, this leaves:

               42+2y=24 then

               2y=-18 then

               y=-9

  • Double check your y value by plugging x=6 into the first equation. This should also leave y=-9.

Simplify the expression so there is only one positive power for each base.
katen-ka-za [31]

Answer:

Option (A)

Step-by-step explanation:

The given expression is,

(5^{-2}\times 4^{-4})^{-2}

Since x^{-1}=\frac{1}{x} and \frac{1}{x^{-1}}=x

5^{2}=\frac{1}{5^{-2}}

4^{2}=\frac{1}{4^{-2}}

Therefore, (5^{-2}\times 4^{-4})^{-2}=\frac{1}{(5^{-2}\times 4^{-4})^{2}}

                                         =\frac{1}{(5^{-2})^2\times (4^{-4})^2}

                                         =\frac{1}{5^{-4}\times 4^{-8}}

                                         =\frac{1}{5^{-4}}\times \frac{1}{4^{-8}}

                                         =5^{4}\times 4^{8}

Option (A) will be the answer.
