To find the cost you use this equation.  
3.75*18.7= about 70.13 (exact 70.125)
if you split it you both would be paying about $35.10

Friend's Car: We can find out how many gallons it would take by dividing 281 by 25. 281/25= 11.24 gallons
To find the cost use this equation.
3.75*11.24= 42.15
If you split it you both would be paying about $21.10
You save about $14 using your friend's car
