Answer:

2 candles, 6 vases

Step-by-step explanation:

Assume: c = # of candles, v = # of vases

Systems: c + v = 8, 3c + 4.25v = 31.50

Multiply first equation by -3, then subtract equations: 1.25v = 7.5

v = 6

Substitute: c + 6 = 8, c = 2

A frog weighs 3/5 lb. What is the mass of the frog in kilograms 1 ib equals 0.45 kg?
sergejj [24]

The mass of the frog will be 0.27 kilograms.

<u><em>Explanation</em></u>

The weight of the frog is  \frac{3}{5} pound.

As  1 pound = 0.45 kilograms,

So <u>for finding the mass of the frog in kilograms, we need to multiply  \frac{3}{5}  by 0.45</u>

Thus,  \frac{3}{5}*0.45= \frac{1.35}{5}=0.27

So, the mass of the frog will be 0.27 kilograms.
