I believe the answer is D. Out of answer choices A, B, C, and D, D makes the most sense according to this question. This is because nothing is being compared, so that rules out A. Nothing is being exaggerated, so that also rules out B. And finally, not sure how to explain why C is incorrect. But an example of parallel structure is this: Mary likes hiking, swimming, and bicycling. So, if you use process of elimination D makes the most sense. Hope this helps!
