I'm not sure if any of this applies to you but if it doesn't I'm sorry.
In the midst of the Corona virus pandemic, we can still maintain our everyday routine along with a few changes. Although everyday seems to blur together, i like to make it unlike any other. Waking up is a chore but I remind myself that I'll probably regret it if I woke up at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. I struggle away from the haven that is my bed and trudge to my bathroom to begin my daily routine of brushing my teeth and ponder what i am going to do today, although its quite limited. Breakfast is anything from cereal to a nice gulp of air. After that is finished, I head to my computer to commence my grueling schoolwork assigned to me. On a serious note, this virus has impacted me and many other students worldwide academically and socially. Not being able to meet new people and catch up with friends is quite lonely, but then I remember that staying home is saving lives from this dreadful disease. After I have done some schoolwork, I normally like to hang out with the family, watch a movie or just chill in general. I see it as a way to unwind and gather my thoughts in this stressful time. I also like to get active in the backyard with my dog. Its important that we get active and healthy and is even more so because we have all the time in the world. Other days I like to go shopping, but the lines are long and the wait is extensive. Even though we are all confined to our homes, I suggest we all see the beauty of life and how much it is worth. Living during a crisis is frightful and we are all on edge, but if we can get through this, we can get through anything !

Allegory is a literary technique in which <em>a message or an idea is conveyed through a metaphor.</em> An allegory usually tells a story that is<em> a metaphor for real-world issues or complex ideas.</em> Allegories have been used throughout the history of art because they can make complex concepts comprehensible. These hidden or <em>complex meanings are symbolized by events, actions, figures or images. </em>
George Orwell's work <em>"Animal farm"</em> can be considered an <em>example of Allegory</em>. The work tells the story of animals in a farm that, trying to create a utopic society for themselves, are engaged in <em>corruption and betrail conflicts that symbolize real political conflicts</em> in the Communist Revolution of Russia. Orwell creates characters who are apparently just animals on a farm, to symbolize and represent his critics and points of view regarding the revolution. The animals represent human weaknesses and, their actions, human corruption.
Ambiguity is another literary technique, very different from an allegory. Works written using ambiguity are<em> based on inexactness, they are open to more than one interpretation.</em> Instead of representing a specific story or message, or trying to convey a specific idea, a<em>mbiguity creates a puzzle that can never be solved.</em> It generates reflection and it leaves a doubt in the air. The ambiguity is usually expressed <em>through a statement, and sometimes even carried by just a word</em>, instead of being held by an entire story with situations and figures. A statement or word that ties the knot to create a puzzle or vagueness is enough to evoke an ambiguity. Although, it can be a tool to build a character or to base a story on.
An example of ambiguity can be found in the <em>first line of the poem Ode to a Grecian Urn</em>, by John Keats. The poem says “Thou <em>still</em> unravish’d bride of quietness…”. Here, the word "still" can be understood<em> as something that doesn't move</em>, therefore is still, or <em>something that hasn't been changed yet</em>. The <em>ambiguity can't be solved</em>, so it creates a meaning that is open and that can be changed.
