The Great Compromise of 1787 was a meeting about issues in the government and how they were going to be set up properly. This resolved the issue of representation in government and ended up agreeing on proportional government for the upper and lower house.
The greeks were responsible for breaking away from the previously held idea that laws came directly from GODS an contending that they were in fact a HUMAN institution.
This breakthrough became the stepping stone of current's advance and more intellectual laws.

New Orleans was significant during the Civil War, because the city was divided. The northern part was controlled by the Union Army, but the southern part was still Confederate so they were spared from the Emancipation Proclamation. Many cities in the South were destroyed, but New Orleans was largely spared. Many African-American troops fought for the North and most of New Orleans was captured and controlled by the Union Army early on in the war.
