You go for a long walk on a hot day. Give an example of a way in which homeostasis keeps your body healthy.
Makovka662 [10]

Answer:

Homoestasis keeps our body healthy by maintaining its temperature.

Explanation:

Going for a long walk on a hot day will stimulate thermoreceptors in your skin in response to heat and send nerve impulse to the hypothalamus in your brain causing it to release the hormone oxytocin. Oxytocin will stimulate the sweat glands found in the dermis (skin layer) to release stored water. Water will then evaporate through the skin pores, cooling you and maintaining the temperature within its normal healthy range.

C. Grasslands are used for cropland.

Explanation:

The land use change as human population increase when grasslands are used for cropland to support the thriving population.

One problem with thriving human population is the availability of food.

  • To grow more food, new farmlands have to be cleared.
  • In areas where Grassland dominates, they must give way to agricultural fields.
  • Forests must be cleared for crop growing.
  • This leads to loss of natural grassland and replacement by cropland.

Which diagram best illustrates what happens when electromagnetic waves strike a rough, dark material?
muminat
When electromagnetic waves strike an obstacle, what usually happens is that part of the wave is absorbed by the obstacle, part is reflected back and part is transmitted through the material.
However, in case of a dark object; the dark object acts as a perfect absorber and absorbs all the electromagnetic waves.
So, the right answer is the diagram showing only absorption of the wave by the surface.
