Explanation;
Antacid drugs are weak bases that exert a therapeutic effect by neutralizing hydrochloric acid, thus relieving indigestion, heartburn and hyperacidity.  These antacids contain high levels of sodium which could make an individual unwell, especially those that have illness that needs them to control how much salt (sodium) they take in the diet.
