Answer:

When responding to the use of quotations in a text, i look for the credibility of the source of the quotation and what information can be gotten from the quotation.

Explanation:

A quotation makes use of inverted commas "" to show direct speech of a person in another place.

The things to look out for when responding to a quotation or its use is to check how credible the source is to avoid the error of misquotation. Another thing is to determine what type of information can be gotten from it.

What is the relationship between President Trump<br> and police unions?
pochemuha

Answer:

The International Union of Police Associations endorsed President Donald Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign Monday, saying he has done more for law enforcement in the past two and a half years than former President Barack Obama had done in eight.

In a statement Monday, IUPA President Sam Cabral said Trump made communities safer by signing executive orders to equip police with life-saving military equipment, championing the Mental Health and Wellness Act – which improved police access to mental health services – and providing funds to hire more law enforcement officers.

Anastasia found an unfamiliar word in her reading and looked it up in a glossary. What should she do to make sure she understand
babymother [125]

Answer:

One of the ways Anastasia can make sure she understands the newly discovered word in the text she is reading is by:

1. Looking up the word in a good dictionary;

2. Check to see examples of how the words is used

3. She must consider the meaning given in the dictionary against how it was used in the text she is reading.

4. She can also look at the meaning of the parts of the word.

For example, if the word is "Context",  she can break it down into the two words that make up the whole like this:

"Con" and "Text"

Con- This prefix means “with” or “together”

Text You might know that “text” means “reading material,” but did you know that the Latin root of this word, texere means “to weave?”

When you put them together, con and text make a pretty important and powerful word that could be defined like this:

Context = the surrounding circumstances, ideas and words put together to form the setting or background for an event, statement, or idea.

Context – the words or ideas expressed before and after – provides us with the information we need to fully understand, evaluate or interpret the ideas in the passage.

Example: “You misinterpreted my words because you took them out of context. I did say that I was hesitant to bake cookies for the fundraiser, but it’s not because I don’t want to participate, as you claim. I also told you I ran out of butter, and the last time I made cookies, nobody bought them.

Cheers!

I need to write an essay about a time ive had a wrong impression about someone
Sedbober [7]

Answer:

I will give you an example of an essay consisting of three paragraphs below.

Explanation:

During my first day in high school, I was very hesitant to talk to my new classmates. All of them almost knew each other because they went to a similar middle school, however, I came from another country. I thought everyone was a snob until a girl suddenly approached me. She was wearing a beautiful smile, which complemented her expensive bag and accessories. I looked over my back to see whether she was calling somebody else, but she wasn't. She wanted to make friends with me.

Days passed by and we became best friends. We shared secrets together and I relied on her in many things. I thought she was the friendliest person in the world until one day. I noticed a group of people laughing at me. I was curious why. Then, one person approached me and told me that my best friend was actually telling them my secrets. Immediately, I realized that first impressions are not really true all the time. The best friend I consider was actually talking about me behind my back.

This experience made me realize that sometimes we get the wrong impression of another person. That person may seem good or bad at the start, but they turn out different in the end. It is always important to know them better before giving out your secrets.
