In the first excerpt we can discern the anger at the government for lying to enlisted youth (answer d). The message of the poem is that if anyone could see the atrocities of war and the suffering of the warriors, he should never lie to young boys who think it is glorious to fight for your country.

The theme that is evident in the second excerpt is anger at the ignorance of civilians and leaders at home, who would never cheer and applaud when the troops are marching if they knew the reality of war that they are going to face.

Yesterday we had a big snowstorm. When I woke up in the morning, I looked out of my bedroom window and saw that everything was white.

It was a school day, so I checked my emails. The headmaster sent a message to say that the school was closed due to the snowstorm.

I phoned my friends, and we met at the park. There was a lot of snow, so we had snowball fights. When I got home, I was freezing and tired. I took a hot bath and then went to bed.

1. The word voice, when it is used as a verb, means "to speak out loud."

Explanation:

There's something very odd about the way you are defining voice, especially if it is a school text. Usually it is about active or passive.

The cat ate the mouse.
The mouse was eaten by the cat.

is an example of active and passive (see below).

But to use it as you have, unspeak is not a word. Sorry it really is a word. It means to take back what you have just said. The word is archaic (it is no longer in use).

The proper past tense of speak is spoken. It is not correct to use speaked. My spell check has underlined both words (unspeak and speaked) which means it doesn't think they are words, or nothing it knows.

Finally voice.

Passive voice the subject is acted upon by the object. The mouse was eaten by the cat. Mouse is subject. Cat isn't.

Active voice. the subject does the acting. The cat ate the mouse. The cat is doing the acting.
