<em>Mark Me Brainliest!</em>

Answer :

[ <em>But I am beginning now to </em><u><em>FEAR </em></u><em>that I must wait a lifetime ]</em>

<em><u>FEAR</u></em><em> </em>

<em>[ </em>feeling <em>indicated</em> by perceived danger or threat that occurs in certain types of organisms, which causes a change in metabolic and organ functions and ultimately a change in behavior, such as fleeing, hiding, or freezing from perceived traumatic events <em>]</em>

I felt an unreasonable amazement. I knew that something strange had happened, and for the moment could not distinguish what the strange thing might be. As I stood staring, the door into the garden opened, and the man-servant appeared.

We looked at each other. Then ideas began to come. "Has Mr. —— gone out that way? " said I.

"No, sir. No one has come out this way. I was expecting to find him here."

At that I understood. At the risk of disappointing Richardson I stayed on, waiting for the Time Traveller; waiting for the second, perhaps still stranger story, and the specimens and photographs he would bring with him. [ <em>But I am beginning now to fear that I must wait a lifetime ]</em> The Time Traveller vanished three years ago. And, as everybody knows now, he has never returned.

According to the excerpt I was able the found the correct answer would be "<span>But I am beginning now to fear that I must wait a lifetime". The narrator states that he waited because he wanted to hear even a stranger story than the last one but he also later states the fears he will wait all his life for as it had been three years since the time traveler left.

Past simple, past perfect, present perfect drill answer
shutvik [7]

Answer:

Jackson ate lunch early. Simple Past

Jackson has eaten lunch. Present Perfect

Explanation:

Jackson ate lunch early. (Simple Past: Eating lunch has started and ended in the past. Someone might say this when the time for eating lunch has also ended. Lunch happened early, and it is over now.)

Jackson has eaten lunch. (Present Perfect: Jackson started and finished eating lunch in the past, but lunch time is still going on. Someone might say this when others are preparing to eat lunch, and they want to know whether Jackson will join them.) while To form the past perfect tense you use the past tense of the verb "to have," which is had, and add it to the past participle of the main verb. For example: subject + had + past participle = past perfect tense.

Some examples of the past perfect tense can be seen in the following sentences:

Had met: She had met him before the party.
