There needs to be a lot less confrontation and a lot more reconciliation between countries and genuine respect for the sovereignity and territorial integrity of each country. For example, it has become obvious that the aggressive stance of the US for Cuba did not work and Cuba isn't giving up its socialist system so this has helped to thaw relations between the two countries.
